“We loved the chance to make our own mask but it was lovely to speak to an art student and artist who lived in Venice. She was able to converse about what it’s like to actually live in Venice. We loved learning about life in Venice, about Venetian masks and the chance to visit the doges prison for free was a bonus. This was where the workshop tool place, right next to the doges palace! “A very fun evening painting our masks. The shop owner provided a little history on Carnival and various mask traditions/ designs. At the end, they tidy up and add a little flair to your mask so it looks a little more like a masterpiece, and less kindergarten painting (as in my case haha). Would recommend to couples and families.”

He gave us tips on how to make our masks really authentic and despite us taking more time than allotted, made us feel at ease and did not rush us.
